Beautiful Clive Simmond filigree bowl from 1980. Signed on base. Lovely earthy tone.

The bowl is in excellent used condition with no damage or repairs.

The bowl measures 9 cm high, 27 cm in diameter across the top and 14 cm across the base.

Great care is taken when packaging and shipping all fragile items.

Recycled packaging is used wherever possible.

Clive Simmonds ( -1997) was an English potter who emigrated with his family to Australia in 1978 and settled on a property down the road from Dot and Eddie Andrews ' Paris Creek Craft Workshops. He leased a workshop there but gave up pottery in the early to mid-1980s when it became harder to make a living as a potter. He became interested in wine making and became the manager of Noon's winery at Mclaren Vale. This information comes from Clive's son: see the comment below.

His mark is an incised 'CS' with date as on this bowl dated 1980
